Cara Menggunakan Sincerely Dalam Surat Bahasa Inggris

Penggunaan Kata Penutup Surat pada Bahasa Inggris

Surat-surat berbahasa Inggris seharusnya ditulis dengan tingkat keresmian tergantung dari berbagai macam kondisi. Salah satu jenis surat formal adalah surat bisnis, yang ditulis untuk tujuan profesional dengan gaya sopan namun tetap bersifat bisnis. Jenis surat lainnya yang sudah kita kenal adalah surat pribadi, biasanya surat ini ditujukan untuk teman-teman, keluarga, maupun orang-orang terdekat kita. Di kedua jenis surat di atas kita bisa menggunakan kata “Sincerely” sebagai bagian dari penutup dengan beberapa cara penggunaannya.
Langkah-langkahnya

1. Tentukan jenis surat yang kita buat. Sebuah surat bisnis harus tetap bersifat profesional, sementara surat pribadi bisa ditulis dengan gaya lebih santai.
2. Beberapa pilihan penggunaan kata. Ketika menggunakan kata “sincerely”, kata tersebut bisa berdiri sendiri maupun ditambahkan dengan kata lain seperti “Most sincerely”, “Yours most sincerely”, “Sincerely yours”, atau “Yours sincerely”.
3. Tentukan versi mana yang paling cocok untuk menutup surat anda. Sebagai contohnya, sebuah surat bisnis sangat cocok bila menggunakan “Sincerely”. Bila kita mengirimkan surat untuk teman atau sahabat dekat, kita bisa menggunakan pernyataan yang lebih santai seperti “Yours most sincerely” atau “Most sincerely”. Untuk kata-kata seperti “Sincerely yours” dan “Yours sincerely” digunakan untuk surat setengah formal atau bisa digunakan jika surat tersebut mempunyai sifat diantara surat resmi dan surat tidak resmi.
4. Lewati satu baris setelah paragraf terakhir dari surat yang kita tulis. Tambahkan kata “Sincerely” yang telah kita pilih. Gunakan huruf kapital hanya untuk kata pertama saja dari pernyataan penutup. lalu tambahkan nama anda dibawah pernyataan penutup pada surat bahasa Inggris anda.
